The quartet comprising top seeded players were through to the semi-finals of the sixth Parco Roshan Khan Open Squash Championship at the PAF Museum on Tuesday.
Top seed and world No 58 Farhan Zaman struggled to defeat Israr Ahmed in a tense five-game duel 11-8, 11-7, 5-11, 13-15, 11-5 that lasted for 50 minutes.
He is now set to meet fourth seed and world No 104 Khawaja Adil Maqbool who shrugged off the challenge from Asim Khan 11-4, 14-12, 8-11, 10-12, 11-6 in nearly an hour (58 minutes) in the other quarter-final.
However, second seed Tayyab Aslam and third seed Shahjahan Khan won the quarter-finals in convincing fashion. The former whipped Zahir Shah 11-7, 11-3, 11-9 in 25 minutes while the latter disposed of Mohammad Farhan 11-6, 11-5, 11-9 in 20 minutes.
