According to the reports received, both teams played brilliantly and presented an excellent game, receiving huge applause from the spectators.
Haris Naseer from Karachi Youth Team scored three goals in the 9th, 22nd and 45th minutes, while Noman Khan scored one goal in the 13th minute.
Facing off Karachi on an even keel, Malik Shafquat’s Academy’s goals came from Rana Wali (18th minute), Hamza (34), Rana Waheed (49) and Ali Asjad (57) to go level on the points table. Earlier, the visiting Karachi Youth team were greeted with a fabulous invitation ceremony by Punjab Hockey Association.
The Karachi squad will play six more matches in Gojra after this three-match contest in Sargodha. Furthermore, Lahore will also host four games against the KHA Youth team.
Zahid Mehmood, Imtiaz Ul Hassan and Mushtaq Awaan are serving as coaches while Riazuddin is performing the duties of team manager for Karachi.
