19th National Netball Championship from today
The 19th men's and women's National Netball Championships will commence today at Hamidi Hall of Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad.
The 19th men's and women's National Netball Championships will commence today at Hamidi Hall of Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad.
The championship will be held from February 27th to March 1st 2020.
Federal Secretary, Ministry of Information and Technology, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui will inaugurate the four-day event.
President, Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassar Arain assured that all concerned arrangements for the championship have been finalized.
13 men and 11 women teams from all over the country are set to participate in the championship.
The men's teams have been divided into four groups as follows:
Group-A: Pakistan Army, Pakistan Police and KPK while
Group-B: Pakistan WAPDA, Gilgit and Fata
Group-C: Pakistan Navy, Balochistan and Islamabad
Group-D: Sindh, Punjab, AJK and PAF.
The eleven women teams have also divided into four groups:
Group-A: Pakistan Army, Punjab and AJK,
Group-B: Sindh, Islamabad and Fata,
Group-C: Pakistan WAPDA, Gilgit and LUMS
Group-D: Elite Academy and KPK.
The quarter- finals and semifinals will be played on Feb 29 while finals will be held on March 1.
The championships will be followed by Inter-Provincial Netball Championship which will be held on March 2. Pakistan Army will defend both men and women titles in the event.
