PBCC announces list of centrally contracted players

Pakistan Blind Cricket Council has expanded the list of centrally contracted players from 13 to 17 and awarded the contracts to the players in three categories for a period of six months.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has awarded central contracts to 17 players for a period of six months from January to June 2020.

The list sees addition of four new players namely Naeemullah, Mohammad Safdar, Ehtisham-ul-Haq and Gul Sher to the 13-man list of centrally-contracted players due to their impressive performances in the National Blind Twenty 20 held in Attock and Bahawalpur in December 2019 and PPL Blind Cricket Super League staged in Karachi in February.

PBCC chairman Syed Sultan Shah said that Naeemullah (Abbottabad), Mohammad Safdar (Dera Ismail Khan), Ehtisham-ul-Haq (Attock) and Gul Sher (Sargodha) performed well in both the championships, therefore they were handed the central contracts.

The contracts were awarded in three categories — Category ‘A’ (Rs15,000), ‘B’ (Rs12,000) and ‘C’ (Rs 10,000), the PBCC chief said.

“We have also raised the amount of honorarium awarded to the players. Earlier, the honorarium awarded to the players were Rs12,000 (category ‘A’), Rs10,000 (category ‘B’) and Rs9,000 (category ‘C’),” Sultan added.
