Karachi University wins HEC Inter-University Women's cricket tournament
Karachi University women’s cricket team bagged first position of the HEC Inter-varsity Women’s Cricket Tournament 2020 after overcoming Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Dewan University in the tournament's final at IBA ground, Karachi.
Karachi University women’s cricket team bagged first position of the HEC Inter-varsity Women’s Cricket Tournament 2020 overcoming Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Dewan University in the tournament's final which was organized by Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was held at the IBA Karachi.
Danish Ali, the IBA Sports Society Patron and Program Director, was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the shields among the winning teams along with guests of honour Gohar Raza Zaidi who is IBA Manager Sports, and Hadia Rehman, Sports Coordinator and Organizing Secretary.
Also present were Mukhtara Bhatti, Director Sports of Universty of Sindh Jamsoro and Danish Farooqui, Nuzhat, Kausar, Rifat from University of Karachi.
Hafsa Khalid was named Player of the Tournament for her all-round show. She scored 155 runs for her side with the bat and managed to pick up 5 wickets as well.
She also managed to pip her rivals to the "Best Batswoman" award.
Bisma Amjad managed to secure the trophy for the best bowler for her 12 wickets.
