Two more seeded players — second seed Yasir Khan and third seed Mohammad Abid Mushtaq — joined top seed Aqeel Khan in the men’s singles semi-final of the second Modern Club Founder Members Tennis Championship by winning their respective quarters on Monday.
While Yasir struggled to swept aside Mohammad Mudassir 6-4, 6-3, Abid made a short work of Usman Rafiq 6-1, 6-1 in the two quarter-finals.
Third seed Abdal Haider recovered from a set down to post 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 victory over sixth seed M. Raza Sawani to propel in the under-18 singles semi-final.
