Zoodkhun Sunflowers win Leisure Leagues Women’s Tournament title
Zoodkhun Sunflowers overcame Kirmen Shaheen after a tough battle to clinch Leisure Leagues Women Small-sided Football Tournament played at peaks of Chupersun in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Zoodkhun Sunflowers overcame a stiff challenge of Kirmen Shaheen in the summit clash to clinch Leisure Leagues Women Small-sided Football Tournament, which was played at remote area of Chupersun in Gilgit-Baltistan.
A total of ten teams participated in the tournament which was played on knockout format. The tournament was played at minus 15 degrees and the field had to be cleared of snow before play.
Zoodkhun Sunflowers emerged victorious after a tough battle with Kirmen Shaheen in the final.
The first half ended with scores level at 1-1 while the second half saw no addition in score-line. However, Zoodkhun side managed to convert one in the extra time to annex the title.
Halima Naseer from Kirmen Shaheen and Komal Amin from Rashit Dadshah were jointly names women of the tournament after scoring eight goals each in the four-day event.
