Delhi Boys and Cantt Sports defeated their respective opponents at various grounds of Karachi to book places in the next round of Professor Ejaz Ahemd Farooqi Invitation cricket tournament.
Mohammad Zeeshan of Delhi Boys cricket club (CC) stole the limelight with eight wickets as Delhi Boys CC outclassed Inquilab CC by 130 runs in their fixture of the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament at the TMC Ground.
Batting first, Delhi Boys scored 227 all out in 38.1 overs with Asif Yousuf emerging as the chief run scorer with 72.
Slow left-armer Hizbullah captured four wickets for 38 runs.
In reply, Inquilab CC were skittled for 97 as Zeeshan ran riot with figures of eight for 17.
In another game of the day Cantt Sports defeated Malir Muslim CC by 85 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
Arham Younis snared figures of 5-17 to help Cantt sports defend 169 by bowling out Malir Muslim CC for 84 runs.
