Pakistan CC crush Nazimabad Gymkahana to book a place in quarterfinals of Prof. Ejaz Farooqi invitational

A dashing century by Usman Khan helped Pakistan CC book a place in quarterfinals of Prof. Ejaz Farooqi invitational cricket tournament as the tournament continued at various grounds of Karachi.

A dashing Usman Khan century helped Pakistan CC book a place in the quarterfinals of the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament with a crushing 126-run victory over Nazimabad Gymkhana at the KCCA Stadium.

Pakistan CC piled up a huge tally of 361-6 in their stipulated 45 overs which included a magnificent opening partnership of 166 between Rameez Raja (94 off 71 balls, seven fours and three sixes) and Umair Bin Yousuf (71, five fours and three sixes).

Usman then polished things over and smashed 116 runs off just 68 deliveries thanks to seven sixes and five fours. 

Nazimabad Gymkhana, in reply, could only get to 235-6 to fall well short of the target despite half-centuries from Faraz Patel (57 not out, five boundaries) and Owais Ahmed Rehmani (50). 

Meanwhile, Wajih Fawad's 114 trumped S.M. Babar's 126 as Rangers CC fell to New Karachi Gymkhana by 3 wickets in another match played at the TMC Ground.

Replying to Rangers’ 228-7 in 45 overs, New Karachi CC secured the win 44.1 overs as Wajih Fawad scored a vital 114 featuring 10 boundaries, to see his side home.
