Balochistan, Islamabad win Blind Super League fixtures

Balochistan beat KPK while Islamabad overpowered Punjab in the two matches played at the third PPL Blind Super Cricket League in Karachi.

Balochistan defeated KPK while Islamabad managed to overcome Punjab in the two matches of the third PPL Blind Super Cricket League being played in Karachi. 

In the first match of the day, Balochistan beat KPK by eight wickets at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy.

After being put into bat, KPK got off to the flying start as openers Tahir Ali and Matiullah put on 117 runs for the first wicket in just 11 overs.

Tahir Ali went on to score a fine 85 off just 59 balls while Riasat Khan also played well for his 62 off 38 balls as KPK finished with 371 on the board in 39.3 overs.

In reply, Balochistan's Captain Badar Munir hit a man of the match 121 off just 63 balls courtesy of 19 boundaries and one six while Safiuallah added 104 and Ayub Khan’s scored 42 not out to lead Balochistan over the line with 32 balls to spare.
 
In the second match played at the PAF Base Faisal, Islamabad beat Punjab by 4 wickets.

Punjab decided to bat first, putting a solid score of 347 runs all out on the board. Islamabad in reply chased down the target in 34.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Muhammad Rashid scored a scintillating 120 off just 60 balls with 16 fours and 2 sixes. Muhammad Ayyaz and Safdar supported him well with 38 and 34 runs respectively.

Islamabad's captain, Anees Javed, polished things off with an unbeaten 45 to guide his team home with 5.3 overs to spare.
