Youngster Gymkhana, Pak-Crescent C.C win Ejaz Farooqi Invitational fixtures
Qavi Khan and Javed Younis led Pak-Crescent C.C and Youngster Gymkhana to wins in their respective encounters of Prof. Ejaz Farooqi Invitational Cricket Tournament at various grounds of Karachi.
Mohammad Qavi Khan produced fine all-round performance to inspire Pak-Crescent C.C to a five-wicket win over Hamdam CC in their fixture of the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament at the TMC Ground.
Qavi first grabbed four wickets for 50 runs with his medium pace to help restrict Hamdam CC to 207-10 in 43.5 overs.
Salman Khan was the major run-getter with 79 for Hamdam CC which included 10 boundaries.
Pak-Crescent C.C reached the target in 39 overs for the loss of five wickets. Qavi led the way with the bat as well, striking 11 fours in his superb innings of 79, while Bilal Khalid contributed 52 with the aid of four boundaries.
In another game of the day played at Landhi Gymkhana, Javed Younis claimed 4-24 as Youngster Gymkhana defeated New Gulistan CC by eight wickets.
