AFP hold Fastest Man and Woman contests
The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) and Pakistan School Sports Olympic in collaboration with provincial athletics associations have taken a fine initiative by holding a series of contests under the title of the Fastest Man, Woman, Boys and Girls in 100 metres competitions.

The first event in this series was organised at Hyderabad on March 23 where Zain Ubaid was declared the Fastest Man, Ayesha Akbar the Fastest Woman. Besides in the boys and girls contest, Ehtisham Khan in U-13 Boys, Huzaifa in U-16 Boys, Wajahat Khan in U-19 Boys, Saadia Masood in U-16 Girls bagged top positions.
The second event was organised at Sukkur on March 31 where Fida Hussain was declared the Fastest Man while Khusbu Gul was the Fastest Woman. Besides that, Zain Ali in U-13 Boys, M. Suleman U-16 Boys, Samiullah Dharejo U-19 Boys, Khusboo Jalal in U-16 Girls got the top positions.
Now the third such event will be organised at the Pakistan Sports Board at Karachi Centre on May 29.
All position holders froom first to third have been awarded cash prizes of Rs3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 respectively.
Project Director and focal person AFP, Gohar Raza said that in other five cities these events are scheduled to be held on Aug 14 at Faisalabad, Aug 30 at Lahore, Sept 11 at Islamabad, Oct 2 at Peshawar, and Nov 6 at Quetta.
The Grand Finale will be held in Karachi on Dec 25, 2016 where all the first positions holders of eight respective cities will compete with each other for the title of the Fastest Man, Woman, Boys and Girls of Pakistan.
