Fatima Jinnah XI beat BB Shaheed XI 38-36 in a thrilling contest in girls category of the DMC South Kashmir Solidarity Day basketball tournament organized by Karachi Basketball Association in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Welfare Association for boys and girls at the Abdul Nasir basketball courts in Arambagh in connection with Kashmir Day.
Savera Musfira and Eesha were the main scorers for the victors with 12, 10 and 10 points respectively.
In the boys match, Commissioner Karachi team beat DC South XI by 48-44.
Scorers for the winners in this high octane contest were Hassan Iqbal with 18 points while Shariq and Suleman added 14 and 12 points.
DC South Irshad Ali Sodhar who was the chief guest on the occasion gave away prizes and trophies at the concluding ceremony.
On the occasion, Kashmir Day Sports Award was presented to Director Sports DMC South Asif Azeem for his services to sports.
KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan and other sports personalities including Saleem Khamisani, Muhammad Arshad and Abdul Nasir were also present on the occasion.
