Azam Khan leads Alamgir Gymkhana to another win in Prof. Ejaz Invitational Cricket Tournament

Azam Khan hit a stunning century to lead Alamgir Gymkhana to another win in Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament match at the Eastern Star ground, Karachi.

A swashbuckling century from Azam Khan helped Alamgir Gymkhana decimate Qureshi Dolphin CC by eight wickets in their Prof Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament match at the Eastern Star ground.

Hasan Mohsin was Alamgir Gymkhana’s star performer with the ball, returning excellent figures of 5 for 33 as Qureshi Dolphin CC folded for 186 in 34.1 overs.

But Hasan was upstaged during the second half of this lopsided fixture as Azam — younger son of ex-Pakistan captain Moin Khan — hit 14 sixes and 12 fours on his way to 144 off only 53 deliveries as Alamgir Gymkhana reached 190-2 midway through the 15th over.

Meanwhile in day’s other game played at the TMC Ground, Doab CC defeated Al-Taj CC by five wickets.
