Pakistan overcomes Mongolia in the first tie of Fed Cup 2020 Asia/Oceania II
Pakistan’s electrifying tennis team outplayed Mongolian squad by 2-1 in the Fed Cup 2020 Asia/Oceania II Pool A First tie at the Renouf Tennis Centre, Wellington, New Zealand.
The exhilarating first tie continued for 3 hours 27 minutes in which Pakistan’s seasoned team outplayed Mongolia by 2-1 in the Pool A of Fed Cup 2020 Asia/Oceania II, which is being played at the Renouf Tennis Centre, Wellington, New Zealand.
Mongolia got of to a best possible start as Erdenesuren Erdenebat edged out Mahin Qureshi by 6-3, 6-1 in the first rubber.
Ushna Suhail leveled the proceedings as she was in a good nick and managed to produce skillful game against Jargal Altansarnai winning it with the final score line of 6-3, 6-0.
In the decider, Sarah Mehboob Khan & Ushna Suhail easily brush aside the Mongolian pair of Shinejargal Battur and Bolor Enkhbayar by 6-3, 6-3.
Now, Pakistan will meet Singapore team in the Fed Cup Asia/Oceania II Pool A second tie.
The Pakistan team includes Captain Sara Mansoor, Ushna Sohail, Sarah Mahboob and Mahin Aftab.
Eight nations are joining the hosts New Zealand in Wellington, including Guam, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Turkmenistan for the Fed Cup 2020.
