Haris Rauf makes the cut as BBL announces team of the year

Pakistan's newest pace sensation, Haris Rauf, has been named in the Big Bash League team of the year after breakthrough performances during the ninth addition of the BBL.

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been included in the Big Bash League season nine team of the year after his brilliant performances over the course of the event despite not featuring in the side regularly.

Rauf has been a revelation for the Stars and the find of the tournament after he was brought in as a replacement by the Stars for the injured South African pacer Dale Steyn. 

He went on to claim 16 wickets in seven regular matches including a fifer and a hat-trick.

Rauf is joined by teammates Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell in a team selected by the coaches of the eight teams after finishing top of the table.
