United Sports and Landhi Gymkhana Colts recorded victories as All Karachi Professor Ejaz Farooqi Invitation Cricket tournament continued at various grounds of Karachi.
United Sports annihilated Malik Sports by a massive 240-run margin as the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament continued in Karachi.
Batting first at the TMC Ground, United Sports amassed 320-7 in their stipulated 45 overs.
Manzoor Shah led the run spree with 89 that included nine fours and three sixes. Farhan Shah banged 11 boundaries in his knock of 63 while Hasan Jaffri (55, six fours and one six) and Shahzaib Nazar (54, four boundaries) added valuable runs down the line.
Malik Sports, in reply, offered little resistance to United Sports' bowler as they were bundled out for 80 in 24.2 overs.
Faazullah did most of the damage picking up four wickets for 20 runs while Sohail Rafiq claimed 3 for 21.
Meanwhile in the day’s other fixture played at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Landhi Gymkhana Colts rode on Rehman Shahbaz’s brilliant innings of 63 (six sixes and four fours) to outgun Gulzar CC by six wickets.
