Two boys and one coach were to participate in this Regional Qualifying event being held in Manila from January 13-25, but the sponsor backed out at the eleventh hour.
PTF was short of funds since it had not received Davis Cup money from International Tennis Federation (ITF).
“These were the main reasons so we could not apply for visas. We did not have enough time,” said the PTF official.
