Metropolitan, Pakistan C.C secure wins as Prof. Ejaz Farooqi invitational tournament continues

Metropolitan cricket club (C.C) and Pakistan C.C secured wins in their respective matches as Prof. Ejaz Farooqi Invitaion cricket tournament rolled on in various venues of Karachi.

Fine knocks from Abdur Rehman and Usama Baloch and an equally impressive bowling effort by Mohammad Usman set up a 22-run victory for Metropolitan CC against Good Luck CC in the latest round of matches in the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi Invitation Cricket Tournament in Karachi on Tuesday. 

Batting first at the Eastern Star Ground, Metropolitan managed to post a total of 249 all out in 42.3 overs with Rehman scoring the lions share with 74 runs with the aid of six boundaries and Usama contributing 52 runs with the help of six fours and one six.

Good Luck CC , in reply, were bowled out for 227 in 43.4 overs during their chase with Atif Khan top-scoring with 45 runs that included four boundaries.

Usman was the difference maker for the defending side as he grabbed four wickets for 39 runs.

Meanwhile, the formidable Pakistan CC whipped Pak Shaheen CC by seven wickets in a low-scoring encounter at the KCCA Stadium.

Pak Shaheen crawled to a measly total of 100 runs in 37 overs, struggling against the left-arm spin duo of skipper Adnan Kaleem (3-27) and Mohammad Asghar (3-21).

Pakistan CC mauled down the target in 11.2 overs with Rameez Raja and Omair Bin Yousuf both making 37.
