The national team, which is on a week-long camp being held at the AFC headquarters, will play Malaysian top-tier club FELDA United next in another friendly match on Thursday.
Kaleemullah opened the scoring for Pakistan in the fifth minute. The striker, back in the national team fold following the appointment of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee by FIFA, converted a penalty kick for the games first goal.
UKM FC, who play in the Liga Premier Malaysia, leveled the score through Ahmad Asnan’s strike in the 22nd minute as the sides went into half time tied at 1-1.
Pakistan once again took the lead through Mohammad Afzal’s 55th-minute goal but had to settle for a draw as Rennie Amadaiya scored the equalsier in the 78th minute.
FELDA who are preparing for the Liga Super Malaysia season which kicks off in March will provide a much sterner test to Pakistan's national side who are playing for the first time since participating in the first round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June last year.
