Balochistan seals senior class, Sindh wins junior class on final day of Sindh-Balochistan Goodwill Boxing Series
Balochistan won 7 Gold medals in the senior class while Sindh won 8 Golds in the junior class on the final day of the Sindh-Balochistan Goodwill Boxing Series which concluded in Karachi.
Sindh-Balochistan Goodwill Boxing Series concluded at Ustaad Abdullah Baloch boxing stadium, Lyari.
On the final day of the tournament, Balochistan won 7 Golds and three Silver medals to win the senior category as Sindh finished the day with 3 Golds and 7 Silvers.
It was a different story in the junior/youth category as Sindh dominated the class with 8 Gold and 4 Silvers medals. Balochistan with the help of 4 Golds and 8 Silvers finished second in the class.
Sindh provincial assemblies MPA, Syed Abur Rasheed, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. He was accompanied by former MPA Haji Babu, Asghar Baloch, Rasool Baksh, Abid Barwi, Abdul Razzak Baloch, Mehar Baksh, Malang Baloch, Boxers Sher Muhammad, Abdul Rahim, Javed Khan, Razia Bano and Mehreen.
During the bouts over the last day, Meer Zaman of Sindh won the 22 kg final. Aqib of Sindh sealed the 36 kg final.
Hikmatullah won Balochistan's first junior gold in 44 kg before Tayyab Ullah added another gold in the same weight category.
Tabdak won the 46 kg final for Sindh, while Noor Agha added another Gold in 48 kg.
In 52 kg final, Ameen Ullah of Balochistan triumphed over his opponent while in 56 kg final, Asad Ullah Baloch of Balochistan succeeded after an impressive display.
Balochistan also secured Golds in 60 kg, 69 kg, 81 kg and 91 kg categories.
While Muhammad Amir and Shahzaib of Sindh managed to win golds in 64 and 75 kg categories.
