Young tennis sensation, Huzaifa alongside Habib secures Runner-up spot of 12th UAE Fujairah ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors C’ship
17-year-old Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and his Tunisian partner Habib Stambouli lost to second seeded pair in a grueling three-set final of the 12th UAE Fujairah ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Championships in UAE.
Pakistan's emerging tennis star, Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and his Tunisian partner Habib Stambouli ended their journey of the 12th UAE Fujairah ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Championships by securing the runner-up spot of the Boy’s double category.
The final that was postponed for a day due to heavy rain, saw third seeded pair of Huzaifa and his partner fighting till the end against Kazakhstan's Rostislaf Galfinger and Slovakia’s Jakub Katuch. Both pairs were seen giving their best in a final that was watched by a sizeable number of spectators.
The final score line was 4-6, 6-3, 8-10.
Earlier, fourth seeded Huzaifa lost to Garv Bahl of India in boy’s singles quarterfinal.
Huzaifa is now drawn to play another G4 event named 19th UAE - Dubai ITF Junior Championship which is starting from today (Monday). Seeded third, Huzaifa is up against Loannis Kountourakis of Greece in the first round of boy's single category.
