Nauman, Nadir, Hasheesh crowned champions of 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championships
Nauman, Nadir and Hasheeh managed to win crowns of different categories on the final day of 7th edition of Indus Pharma National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championships played at the Modern Club, Karachi.
On the concluding day of 7th edition of Indus Pharma National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championships finals of all categories were played at the Modern Club, Karachi.
In the men's singles final, Hasheesh beaten by Nauman Aftab in straight sets but he managed to bounce back by winning the men’s doubles title with his partner Mohammad Minhas.
He also outplayed Mahatir Muhammad in straight sets to win the juniors under-18 title while Nadir Mirza earned back to back title wins by beating Hasnain Rizwan in the under-12 singles event and his elder brother Haider Ali Rizwan in the under-14 singles in straight sets.Zahid Saeed, managing director of Indus Pharma, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Addressing the sizeable crowd present for the finals, he announced to enhance sponsorships in 2021 and added that he will try to explore avenues to further promote tennis in the region.
Gulzar Firoz, president Karachi Tennis Association informed on the occasion that in the year 2020 KTA will focus on promoting sports among schools more rigorously.
PTF vice president Khalid Rehmani , informed that Sindh Tennis Association is also focusing on wheelchair tennis and also providing tennis balls, rackets, poles, nets, etc to a special persons organization ‘Scinosa’ for regular tennis activities at their premises.
