Huzaifa & Habib stun top seeds to book a spot in 12th UAE Fujairah ITf World Tennis Tour Juniors C’ships final
17-year-old Huzaifa alongside his Tunisian partner Habib Stambouli reached the final of the 12th UAE Fujairah ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Championships in UAE.
Young tennis sensation Huzaifa Abdul Rehman with his Tunisian partner Habib Stambouli reached the final of the 12th UAE Fujairah ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Championships in UAE.
Huzaifa, who recently represented Pakistan in the Davis Cup tie against India, alongside his partner Habib, overpowered top seeded pair of GeniInoue of Japan & Frank Jonker of Netherlands in the thrilling semifinal of boy’s double category.
Third seeded Pak-Tunisian pair sealed the first set to take the lead but top seeds came back strongly and equalized the score. Huzaifa- Habib produced a thrilling game to win the match and the third set with a margin of 7 points.
The score line was 7-5, 3-6, 10-3.
Now, Huzaifa and Habib will face the second seed pair of Rostislav Galfinger of Kazakhstan and Jakub Katuch of Slovakia in the final.
However, fourth seeded Huzaifa lost to Garv Bahl of India in his men’s singles quarterfinal.
