$20,000 14th CNS International Squash Championship 2020 from 4th Feb

The 14th edition of CNS International Squash Championship 2020 is schedule to be held from 4th-8th February.

The 14th edition of CNS International Squash Championship 2020 has attracted 15 foreign players. The event will be played in Karachi from February 4-8.

This event was earlier scheduled in December of 2019 in Karachi but Professional Squash Association (PSA) did not allot it to Pakistan last year.

The main draw is of 24 places including eight seeds and two wildcards. The last date of entries is January 7.

Pakistan Navy is the promoter of the event.

The event carries a handsome prize money of $20,000.

World No 49 Ivan Yuen from Malaysia has been awarded the top seed. The other seeded players include World No 69 Mazen Gamal from Egypt, Hong Kong’s Henry Leung and Tsz Kwan Lau, Syafiq Kamal from Malaysia, Angus Gillams from Scotland, Pakistan’s Tayyab Aslam and Asim Khan, Chi Him Wong from Hong Kong, Addeen Idrakie from Malaysia, Moustafa El Sirty from Egypt, Ammar Altamimi from Kuwait, Fabien Verseille from France, and Pakistan’s Farhan Zaman, Farhan Mehboob, and Amaad Fareed. 

Pakistan Navy, the organisers, have given wildcard entries to Faraz Muhammad and Abdul Saeed. The unseeded players are Omar ElKattan and Shady El Sherbiny from Egypt, Matthew Lai and Harley Lam from Hong Kong, and Pakistan’s Danish Atlas and Israr Ahmed.

Last year, Youssef Ibrahim of Egypt defeated Farhan Mehboob of Pakistan in 32 minutes to win the 13th CNS International Squash Championship title.
