DC XI Rawalpindi win the inaugural Rawalpindi Women T10 Cricket League 2020

DC XI Rawalpindi defeated Multan by 44 runs in the final to win the 1st Rawalpindi Women T10 Cricket League 2020 at Govt Viqar-un-Nisa College cricket ground on Sunday

DC XI Rawalpindi won the inaugural Rawalpindi Women T10 Cricket League 2020 after beating Multan by 44 runs in the final played at Govt Viqar-un-Nisa College cricket ground on Sunday.

DC XI managed to post a massive total of 105 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wicket after being put into bat first.

Amna top scored for her side with 21 while Ayesha added 19.

For Multan, Bakhtawar managed to capture 2 wickets for 22 runs while Samiha, Nadia and Madiha took one wicket each.

In reply, DC Rawalpindi XI's bowlers bowled superbly as Multan could only score 61-6 in the allotted overs.

Bakhatawar leading from the front after taking two wickets, carried her side on her back with the bat as well, scoring an unbeaten 40 but was unable to guider her side home.

Namira was the pick of DC XI bowlers as she bagged  the figures of 3-12 while Saba picked up 1 wicket for 9 runs.

Nimira was named player of the final, while Multan's skipper Bakhtawar was deservedly named player of the tournament.

DSO Rawalpindi was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes and medals among the players and teams.
