Chairman of the Normalisation Committee of PFF, Humza Khan, on Thursday said that the federation’s audit is being done to pave way for receiving funding from FIFA in order to conduct the electoral process.
Humza Khan, the Chairman of the Normalisation Committee of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), has said that the federation’s audit is being conducted to pave way for receiving funding from FIFA in order to conduct the electoral process.
Humza said this at a press briefing at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday.
"These three months have been very challenging for us but we’ve tried to make progress on holding elections of the PFF by June 2020,” he said.
He said that the club scrutiny would begin soon. “The PFF secretariat is fully operational now and we’ll be starting on the club scrutiny process for the elections very soon,”.
NC has been functioning for the last three months. FIFA has given it nine months to conduct club scrutiny and hold elections at district, provincial and PFF levels.
About the ongoing 12th National Women Championship, Humza said: “”The tournament is part of a packed calendar that we’ve put together in order to revive the sport in the country.
Organising football activity is part of the mandate we have been given by FIFA and we’re trying our best to have more and more football in the country,” said the former Karachi United captain.
“Our under-19 team took part in the qualifiers for the AFC Under-19 Championship. The national men’s team is due to tour Malaysia later this month,” Humza said.
