Attock defeats Multan to win NBP Blind Cricket Trophy

Ahtesham-ul-Haq and Bilal Sarwar guided Attock to a six-wicket win over Multan in the final of the NBP Grade II Blind Cricket Trophy at the Attock Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Ahtesham-ul-Haq and Bilal Sarwar batted superbly to steer hosts Attock to a fantastic six-wicket win over Multan in the final to lift NBP Grade II Blind Cricket Trophy at the Attock Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Attock won the toss and opted to field first in the final.

Multan’s Mohammad Safdar played an extraordinary unbeaten innings of 139 runs off 66 balls and helped his team to post a formidable 227 runs in 20 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Attock chased down the target of 228 runs in 18.5 overs only losing four wickets in the process.

Ahtesham scored 74 runs off 39 balls and Bilal Sarwar contributed 70 to help his team clinch the title.

For his match winning contribution, Ahtesham was named the man-of-the-match.

At the closing ceremony, Riasat Khan (Abbottabad), Muhammad Ijaz (Faisalabad), Gul Sher (Sargodha) were declared Players of the Tournament while Naseebullah (Quetta) was named as the best wicket-keeper.
