KBBC claims Shukria Jinnah Basketball title
KBBC defeated Usman Club 59-49 in the final to win the title of Shukria Jinnah Basketball tournament at Abdul Nasir courts at Arambagh.
Karachi Basketball Club (KBBC) defeated Usman Club 59-49 in the final to win the title of Shukria Jinnah Basketball tournament organized by Pakistan Rangers at Abdul Nasir courts at Arambagh.
Zainul Abedeen poured in 24 points while Daniyal and Raj Kumar scored 16 points each in KBBC's victory.
Shariq Suleman did his best to take Usman Club over the line with sublime effort of 28 points but could not succeed. Faizan and Hamza assisted with contribution of 10 points each.
Shariq Suleman was deservedly declared best player of the final while Daniyal was named best player of the tournament.
Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Sector Commander Col Parvaiz Iqbal, as the chief guest on the occasion, gave away prizes and trophies to the players.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the objective of the event was to pay homage to the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Later, the Rangers officials distributed gifts and cash prizes among the players as well as technical officials.
He advised the youngsters to also give ample attention to sports along with studies as sports are essential for mental and physical growth.
Commander Col Sajid Sharif Malik, Maj. Amir Haider besides sports officials were also present.
