Pakistan women concede T20 series against England after second consecutive loss

Pakistan women's team lost the second of the three match T20I series against England by 84 runs at Kinrara Oval cricket ground, Kuala Lumpur.

A 120 run opening stand between Amy Jones and Danielle Wyatt ensured an easy 84 run win for England against Pakistan women in the second T20 international between the two sides at Kinrara Oval cricket ground, Kuala Lumpur.

England, after winning the toss, decided to bat first and set up a mammoth total thanks to their two opening batters who shared a 120 run first wicket stand in 11.2 overs.

Amy Jones and Danielle Wyatt scored 89 and 55 runs respectively.

Amy's innings came courtesy of 11 fours and 3 sixes from just 52 balls while Danielle's innings included 8 fours and 2 sixes and came from 36 deliveries.

Wyatt became the first wicket to fall on the day. She was caught by Javeria Khan on Anam Amin's bowling to give Pakistan some respite.

The rest of the batters did not need to add much to the score as Jones continued her onslaught eventually being bowled by Nida Dar on 89.

England finished with 185 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets.

For Pakistan, Nida Dar and Anam Amin managed to pick up two wickets each for 33 and 30 runs respectively.

Pakistan were never in the chase from the beginning as only three of their batters managed to crack into the double figures.

The green shirts were 39-5 before Aliya Riaz and Iram Javed provided some resistance to English bowlers.

Javeria Khan, Iram Javed and Aliya Riaz scored 10, 38 and 16 runs as Pakistan scored 101 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs to lose the game by 84 runs.

For England, Mady Villiers, Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Brunt picked up a pair of wickets each.

With this win, England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match series.
