KPK, Northern record wins in U16 One day tournament

Two more matches of National U16 One day tournament were decided in Faisalabad with Northern U16 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U16 registering wins against their respective opponents.

Balochistan U16 v Northern U16

In a game played at Iqbal stadium in Faisalabad, Northern U16 beat Balochistan U16 by six wickets.

Northern won the toss and invited Balochistan to bat first.

Against a brilliant Northern bowling attack, Balochistan were bowled out for 98 runs in 38.1 overs. Faiz Ullah was the only batsman to impose his will, top scoring for his side with 33 runs.

For Northern, Mohammad Ibrahim took three wickets for 13 runs in nine overs.

In return, Northern comfortably chased down the target in the 29th over for the loss of four wickets.

Saad Masood struck an unbeaten 33 off 56 balls to see his side home safely.

Central Punjab U16 v Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U16

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Central Punjab by 13 runs in a match played at the Bohranwali Ground, Faisalabad.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were bowled out for 132 in the 25th over after being put into bat. 

Opening batsman Mohammad Farooq top-scored with an aggressive 57-ball 62 which included five fours and three sixes.

For Central Punjab, Usama Zahid did most of the damage grabbing four wickets for 26 runs.

In return, Central Punjab's batsmen could not construct any rhythm in their innings and were dismissed for 119 in 24.4 overs.

Musa Azeem contributed a 44-ball 29 with the help of two fours but could not prevent his side from losing.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, off-spinner Mohammad Tahir took four wickets for 18 runs to contribute massively to his sides win.

Central Punjab U16 119 all out, 24.4 overs (Musa Azeem 29; Mohammad Tahir 4-18)
