After 18 years, Huzaifa Ibrahim of Karachi reaches US Junior Open 2019 final

Huzaifa Ibrahim booked berth the final of the US Junior Open Squash Championships after beating Youssef Mabrouk by 3-1 in Allston, USA.

After 18 years an endowed boy from Karachi has reached the final of US Junior Open Squash Championships as Huzaifa Ibrahimstopped second seed Youssef Mabrouk of Egypt and booked berth into the final of the tournament which is being played in Allston, USA.

Former Asian No.1 Huzaifa, who represents Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and had won Japan Junior Open Squash Championship in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 played marvelously to prove his mettle in the US Junior Open 2019 as he overpowered Youssef Mabrouk of Egypt by 3-1.

Sixth seed Huzaifa won the semifinal with the final score line of 11-9, 11-13, 12-10,11-7.

Pakistan's junior squash sensation Huzaifa will now step up against top seed Yassein Shohdy of Egypt.

Today, the final of Boys U-15 category will be played at 11:00 a.m. (EST) and 9:00 p.m. (PST).

Meanwhile, Saboor Khan suffered an 11-5, 2-11, 6-11, 10-12 defeat against Islam Kouritam, while 9/12 seed Humam Ahmed lost to B Eun 11-13, 11-9, 10-12, 5-11 in the third round.

Top seed Haris Qasim was stunned by A Elkhawas 12-10, 5-11, 11-5, 8-11, 10-12 in the fourth round of under-17 category.
