SPORTS MINISTER INAUGURATES OLYMPIC PLAZA
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports Mehmood Khan Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Olympic Plaza situated in the vicinity of Qayyum Sports Complex.

Talking to media, Mehmood Khan said that this project, the Directorate of Sports took up a step forward toward self reliance policy.
He said that the government was taking practical steps for the promotion of sports activities in the province besides using the income for the welfare of sportsmen, sportswomen.
Flanked by Deputy Secretary Sports, Mehmood Khan said that the Olympic Plaza was constructed 93 million, having 14 flats, 14 shops.
He said, currently sports activities continued at Inter-District level, followed by Inter-Region and Inter-Provincial activities.
He assured that all allocated grants for sports activities would be utilized only on sports promotion.
He said, the government was keen at overall development of sports besides trying to create a conducive environment for both male and female players.
He said, for the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa open trials had been organized at Tehsil and District level only to search out new talent in various games besides ensuring due opportunities to the youth of far flung areas across the province.
