3rd National Para Taekwondo Championship concludes in Karachi

The third edition of National Para Taekwondo Championship concluded at National Coaching Center in Karachi, where over 150 athletes from across the country participated.

The National Para Taekwondo Championship was organized by Pakistan Taekwondo Federation in association with Para Wing of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, into its third successful edition, which  concluded at National Coaching Center in Karachi.

Patron-in-Chief Pakistan Para Taekwondo Wing, Zeeshan Altaf Lohya was one of the many hands to organize this event for the first time in Sindh with technical support from Grand Master Najam Khan.

The previous two editions of the event were held in Punjab. 

Sindh secured the top spot with 12 gold medals, followed by Punjab, earning five golds while Balochistan settled for the third position, claiming three gold medals.

Over 150 athletes from across the country participated in a total of six different weight categories in both, male and female competitions. Taekwondo athletes from their respective divisions were seen competing with all their skills so as to secure top position of the championship.

Advisor to CM Sindh, Qasim Naveed Qamar was the chief guest during the opening ceremony while Head of HMR Group, Haji Rafiq Pardesi, Chairman Special Education Committee of FPCCI, Mohammad Amaan Pir and America-Pakistan Business Development Forum officials were also present on the occasion. 

Later Afghanistan Consul General in Karachi, Rahim Ullah Qatra, Zeeshan Lohya and KFC Pakistan Brand Manager, Danish Wali and others were in attendance during the closing ceremony of the championship.

The guests assured their full support in future as well in holding events for children with special needs. They also added that they would also make effort to send these players to feature in international events abroad.
