Journeys of squash juniors end in Singapore Junior Squash Open 2019
Four squash juniors represented Pakistan in the Singapore Junior Squash Open 2019 which is being held in Singapore. This AJSS Gold Event was the last junior event of the year for Pakistani players.
The journeys of Pakistani players, Abdul Ahad, Huzaifa Shahid and Umair Arif ended in the pre-quarterfinals while Kumail Tariq lost in the first round of under-15 category of Singapore Junior Squash Open 2019.
Top seed Jayden Oon of Malaysia stopped Abdul Ahad with the wide score line of 11-7, 11-7, 11-0 in the pre-quarterfinal of under-11 category.
Huzaifa Shahid gave tough time to Haiqal Hazim Syarudin of Malaysia but Haiqal showed his huge experience to win the match with the scores of 11-6, 4-11, 11-6, 7-11, 2-11.
Second seed Yeak Wei Sim of Malaysia defeated unseeded Umair Arif with the final score line of 9-11, 11-8, 14-12, 11-13, 8-11.
