Usman 'The Asian Boy' Wazeer set for 3rd international fight against Thai opponent
Gilgit born boxer, Usman 'The Asian Boy' Wazeer (2-0) is all geared up for his third professional fight which is schedule on 15th December in Manila, Philippines.
"The Asian Boy" Usman left for Manila, Philippines yesterday for his third professional career fight under the promotional banner of the oldest boxing world champion in history, Manny Pacquiao, where he will be facing a counterpart from Thailand, whose name hasn't been disclosed yet.
Young boxing sensation, Usman was to have his third international fight at the Caesars Palace in Dubai on November 22, 2019. The fight was called-off due to the Pakistani boxers' claims of being kept in the dark regarding his opponent.
The 19 year old, Usman said that the British-Pakistani boxer, Amir Khan scheduled his fight with a much experienced Mexcian boxer named: Eduardo de la Torre, who has been appearing in boxing arena since 2015 and owns a record of 5 wins and 3 losses while Usman is in the initial stage of his career, where he had been on the international platform only twice.
However, he has been having tough training in Philippines at the survival camp and also at Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad ahead of his bout regarding which he said,
"To lose weight is one of the toughest challenge because then we have to change the training type all over as of our initial stage. But when you know you're representing your country, these thing never matter and so I keep one thing in mind that I have to work hard and triumph to keep my country's flag high on international platforms."
Born in Gilgiti, Usman is already Pakistan Youth's no. 1 ranked boxer, HEC All Pakistan gold medalist, Quaid E Azam Games Bronze Medalist, Punjab Boxing Championship gold medalist and now an International Professional boxer with a 2-0 record.
He is a prodigy of Amir Khan Academy in Islamabad supported by Amir Khan himself.
