Pakistan lose second ICC Women's Championship match against England by 127 runs

Chasing 328 runs for victory Pakistan women's team was bowled out for 200 at Kinrara Oval cricket ground, Kuala Lumpur

Pakistan women's team lost the second ICC Women's Championship match against England at Kinrara Oval, Kuala Lumpur by a wide margin of 127 runs.

In a repeat of the first game, England women decided to bat after winning the toss.

This time however, Pakistan managed to remove first match's centurion Danni Wyatt for six runs to give themselves a better chance of restricting England on a low score.

Tammy Beaumont and captain Heather Knight foiled those plans by adding 61 for the second wicket before last games centurion, Beaumont, fell for 21 to Nashra Sandhu.

Heather continued to play her strokes and was joined by Natalie Scriver as the two added further 84 runs for the third wicket. The England captain could not reach three figures though as she was run-out for 86 after a mix up.

Pakistan then found some respite as Nida Dar got her second wicket of the match by dismissing Amy Jones for 19 leaving England at 181 for 4.

Scriver and Fran Wilson then picked up the pace as they scored at a very high rate against a hapless bowling attack.

Scriver reached three figures on 85 balls having hit 12 fours and remained unbeaten. It was Wilson's innings that did most of the damage as she finished her innings not out on 85 from only 49 balls. She hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in her fast paced innings.

For Pakista Nida Dar claimed two wickets for 67 runs while Nashra Sandhu managed to pick one.

In reply, other than opener Nahida Khan and Captain Bismah Maroof, none of the batters could pile runs to trouble the English bowlers as they easily bowled Pakistan out for 200 securing a 127 runs victory.

Pakistan were in trouble early as Sidra Ameen fell to Kate Cross on 12. One down Javeria Khan and Nahida Khan added 47 runs for the second wicket before Javeria was trapped LBW by Sarah Glenn for 26.

Bishmah Maroof played a diligent knock accompanying Nahida but soon the opener was runout on 40 to set the warning alarms off.

Pakistan were then dealt further blows as they went from 140-3 to 145-6 in space of a couple of overs.

Bismah Maroof continued to hold one end together but was running out of partners at the other end and when she fell for 64 while looking for some quick runs, Pakistan's fate was sealed.

Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 200 in 44.5 overs.

For England, Shrubsole, Glenn, Ecclestone and Knight all picked up two wickets.

Pakistan also conceded the three match series as a result and will play the final game on the same ground on 14th December.
