Gilgit born boxer, Usman Wazeer ready for 3rd professional bout in Philippines
Usman 'The Asian Boy' Wazeer (2-0) is all geared up for his third international fight which is schedule on 15th December in Manila, Philippines.
"The Asian Boy" left for Manila, Philippines on 6th December for his third professional career fight while his opponent is yet to be disclosed to the media.
Young boxing sensation, Usman was to have his third international fight at the Caesars Palace in Dubai on November 22, 2019 but it was called-off due to the Pakistani boxers' claims that he was kept in the dark regarding his opponent.
Wazeer was in UAE when he got to know of his Mexican counterpart for the upcoming fight while he was told before that his opponent was yet to be decided, but was expected to be either from Thailand or England.
The 19 year old, Usman said that the British-Pakistani boxer, Amir Khan scheduled his fight with a much experienced Mexcian boxer named: Eduardo de la Torre, who has been appearing in boxing arena since 2015 and owns a record of 5 wins and 3 losses while Usman is in the initial stage of his career, where he had been on the international platform only twice and have won both of his professional bouts.
However, he has been having tough training in Philippines at the survival camp where this will be his last week of training ahead of his bout. Usman left alongside Kamran - another boxer of Pakistan who will be featuring in his first career fight on an international platform in Manila, Philippines as well.
Born out of Gilgiti, Usman is already Pakistan Youth ranked no. 1, HEC All Pakistan gold medalist, Quaid E Azam Games Bronze Medalist, Punjab Boxing Championship gold medalist and now an International Professional boxer with a 2-0 record. He is a prodigy from Amir Khan Academy in Islamabad supported by none other than, Amir Khan himself.
