Umair Arif reaches 13th KL Junior Open Squash Championships pre-quarterfinals
Umair Arif coasted his way into the pre-quarter-finals of the 13th KL Junior Open Squash Championships being played in Malaysia.
The REDtone KL Junior Open day two saw every age group in action and some upsets along the way.
Three players from Pakistan comprising of Umair Arif, Zohaib Ali Rana and Kumail Tarid are participating in prestigious REDtone 13th KL Junior Open Squash Championships 2019.
In the third round of under-11 category, Umair defeated Ali Hs Al-Khalaf of Qatar with the wide score of 11-3, 11-5, 11-1. Uamir will now face Ethan Ming-Rui Kuan of Singapore in the fourth round.
Earlier, in the first round of under-13 category, Zohaib Ali Rana was overpowered by Danish Islee Madzzuki of Malaysia 11-7, 6-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9. Another Pakistani Kumail Tariq was beaten by Hitesh Manoharan of Malaysia 11-4, 11-4, 11-3 in the first round of under-15 category.
Asia’s biggest junior squash championship, the REDtone KL International Junior Open 2019, attracted 860 players from 20 countries which are participating in its 13th edition.
