“These judokas will also represent Pakistan at the Asian Senior Judo Championship to be held in Uzbekistan from April 14 to 17,” he added.
He said the judokas touring Uzbekistan include Shah Hussain Shah, Samiullah and Qaiser Khan Afridi.
“The idea to send these judokas abroad (Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan) for their grooming was floated by head coach Sajjad Qazmi,” Masood said.
“After his proposal we requested the Uzbekistan Judo Federation to guide our players.”
He said Samiullah and Qaiser would be going to Uzbekistan from Pakistan while Shah Hussain will join the duo in Uzbekistan from Turkey after participating in the Grand Prix scheduled to be held there from March 31 to April 4.
According to Masood, Samiullah will play his match of the Senior Judo Championship on April 15 while Shah Hussain and Qaiser will be seen in action on April 16.
“If Shah succeeds in winning a medal in this event his international ranking will improve which will help him qualify for the Olympics,” the PJF secretary stated.
