Adina Ataullah, Aanya Fareed & Zoha Zeeshan won in their respective categories at the one-day PGA Junior Girls Golf Match 2019 that was contested at PAF Skyview Golf and Country Club in Lahore.

The 2nd Junior Girls Match, organized by Pakistan Golf Association (PGA), successfully concluded at the lush green golf course of PAF Skyview Golf and Country Club in Lahore where significant number of junior golfers competed in three different categories of Ruby, Emerald and Pearl.

Ruby category's winner stood Adina Ataullah and she was also declared the best golfer of the match while Aanya Fareed took home the victory of Emerald class and Zoha Zeeshan emerged the winner in Pearl category.

Another one to triumph with a title was Aliha Amjad while Mr Waseem was awarded with the title of Super Dad for the Longest Drive. The Super Mom for Best Putting title went to Mrs Huma Shahid.

Wife of Governor Punjab, Begum Parveen Sarwar, was the honorable chief guest who distributed the prizes among the high achievers of the event and later she graciously stated:

“What could be more important than an event that is designed to benefit a future aspect of Pakistan.”

This time, the event saw an amazing increase of 89 percent over the 19 junior girls, who had participated in the 1st PGA Junior Girls Match held in March earlier this year, as over all, 36 junior girls, aged between 6 to 14 years competed in this event, including 27 from Lahore, 7 from Islamabad and 2 from KPK.

This event was held under the overall supervision of Dr Asma Afzal Shami, Chairperson Ladies Golf in Pakistan.

The Chairperson Ladies Golf in Pakistan said,
“While envisaging this initiative at the grassroots level that it would serve as the nursery from which we could harvest the future lady golf champions of Pakistan. In order to maximize the benefit from this, a special ‘Talent Hunt Committee’ was formed under Mrs. Iffat Zahra, comprising girl golfers who have already distinguished themselves at the National level, to monitor today’s match and identify junior girls displaying special talent. These included Humna, Sania and Iman, who also served as the ‘role models’ for today’s participants.”
