PBG & Barry’s shine in Hamdan Polo Cup for Lahore Open Polo Championship 2019

A four-goal show by Tom Brodie helped PBG/S&R defeat Black Horse Paints/Artmea 8-5.
Adil Waleed contributed a hat-trick while Lt Col Rab Nawaz Tiwana chipped in with one goal as well.
For the losing side, Ahmed Bilal Riaz struck four goals while Hamza Mawaz Khan added one.
The winners made a flying start and cruised to a 4-0 lead by the end of the second chukker.
They were enjoying a comfortable 7-2 lead when the third chukker ended. As the last chukker started, the losing side tried to make a comeback scoring three goals but PBG/S&R proved themselves too strong adding one to their tally to claim the encounter 8-5.
Meanwhile, a heroic five-goal show from Ermestp Trotz steered Barry’s to a 7-5 win against Diamond Paints. Agha Musa Ali Khan and Omer Asjad Malhi also hit a goal apiece.
From the losing side, Jack William Stuart Hyder and Mir Shoaib Ahmed recorded a brace while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed struck one.
The losing side drew the first blood but the winners bounced back quickly to take a 2-1 lead before the end of the first chukker.
Barry’s scored three more goals while conceding two in the highly-charged second chukker to move ahead 5-3.
The losing team again tried to come from behind and once they were on the heels of the victors by 6-5, before the winners scored one more goal to triumph in the encounter.
