AOS Polo & Master Paints chalk up victories in Hamdan Polo Cup 2019
The second day shined bright for Hamdan Polo Cup for Lahore Open Polo Championship 2019 at Lahore Polo Club ground, Lahore.
At the revitalizing ground of Lahore Polo Club, two matches were decided on the second day of Hamdan Polo Cup for Lahore Open Polo Championship 2019.
The day shined bright for the AOS Polo and Master Paints as they chalked up contrasting victories after thrilling affairs.
In the sudden-death encounter, AOS Polo edged out Master Paints Blacks 8-7 after levelling 7-all at the end of the stipulated fourth chukker.
AOS Polo scored four goals through Raja Samiullah while Hashim Kamal Agha and Shah Shamyl Alam struck two goals each. From the losing side, Manuel Carranza fought like a true fighter and contributed six goals. Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana chipped in with one goal.
The winners led the first chukker 2-1 which they extended to 4-2 in the second chukker. But Master Paints Black fought back gallantly smashing three goals to take a 5-4 lead.
The neck-and-neck fight continued in the fourth chukker which ended at seven-all, before Hashim Kamal netted the winner in the extra fifth chukker.
Meanwhile, four goals by Mariano Regal helped Master Paints register an impressive 7-3 win against Platinum Homes/Olympia. Bilal Haye, Farooq Amin Sufi and Raja Jalal Arslan chipped in with a goal each. From the losing side, Amirreza Behboudi banged in two goals and Ahmed Ali Tiwana hit one.
After the goalless first chukker, the second chukker saw the dominance of Master Paints as they fired in four goals to take a fine 4-1 lead against Platinum Homes who scored one.
