26-years-old Lahore born Ushna Sohail ousted top ranked Sara Mansoor by 7-5,6-4 in the first semifinal of the day.
In the second semifinal, Pakistan's no.2 Sara Mehboob easily edge out Mehak Khokhar in a dominant 6-0, 6-1 display.
In the men’s singles, top seed Aqeel Khan brushed aside Barkatullah 6-0, 6-1 while Mudassir Murtaza toppled Shahzad Khan 6-4, 6-3. However, Mohammad Abid had to work hard before he overpowered Heera Ashiq 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
Muzammil Murtaza also laboured for 40 minutes to beat Ahmed Chaudhry 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.
