All Pakistan Junior Squash C'ship 2019: Zeeshan Zeb battles past Hassan
Zainab Khan and Komal Khan won their respective semi-finals with contrasting results in Girls Under-19 event of Jubilee Insurance All Pakistan Junior Squash Championship 2019 at the RKJK Squash Complex, Karachi.
At PN Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Karachi, auspicious squash players Zainab Khan and Komal Khan won their respective semi-finals with contrasting results in Girls Under-19 event of Jubilee Insurance All Pakistan Junior Squash Championship 2019.
Zainab khan displayed a dominant performance as she was in confident form to dispatch Ilsa Imran and took only 17 minutes to book her place in the women's singles final.
The first game was one sided in the favour of Zainab, before Ilsa began to put up more of a fight in the second game with some well constructed rallies. However, Zainab soon regained control and went on to dominate the rest of the game to take an 11-4, 11-7, 11-5 victory.
Aiman Shahbaz played some good squash at times but it was not enough to trouble Komal Khan who played with confidence to comfortably book her place in the final where she will take on Zainab Khan.
Komal took 33-minute to close out with the final score line of 11-5, 18-20, 11-8, 12-10.
Peshawar-born Zeeshan Zeb overcame stubborn Hassan Raza with the final score line of 11-7, 11-7, 9-11, 11-6 after a 34-minute battle, which was the longest match of the day.
Uzair Shoukat took 22 minutes to beat Moaz Khan by 3-0 with the final score line of 11-6, 11-9, 11-2.
Now, Zeeshan will take on Uzair Shoukat in the boys under-19 final.
