Top seed Ashar Mir lit up the Karachi’s Creek Club tennis courts this week with a series of stunning displays to register straight set win against Ibrahim Noman Yousaf with the final score line of 6-0,6-1.
In the second semifinal of the day, Ahmed Nael Qureshi from Islamabad caused a major upset when he eliminated second seed Zain Ehtisham of Karachi in a one-sided affair at the score of 6-0, 6-1.
The boy’s singles final will be played tomorrow (23rd Nov) at 4:30pm.
Kashan Tariq took the sixth position after losing the match to Nadir Mirza. Yahya Luni of Islamabad got the seventh place after winning against Rayan Ahmed of Karachi. Meanwhile, talented Zainab Ali beat Varsha Das in the final to lift the girls singles title. She gained a valuable 200 ATF ranking points while Varsha Das got 133 ranking points.
