SHRS clinches Inter-Society Sports Football Festival 2019 title
SHRS team overpowered Vanquishers by 4-3 on penalty kicks in the summit clash to earn the title of Inter-Society Sports Football Festival 2019 at CBM University Ground in Karachi.
As many as 12 societies fielded their respective teams into the Football event of Inter-Society Sports Football Festival 2019 where SHRS and Vanquishers managed to make it to the final.
The final was an equal affair with no team willing to accept defeat and neither allowing the other side to score for majority of the game. The regulation time concluded with each team managing to score a single goal each.
A penalty shootout was held to determine the winners where after another neck and neck display, SHRS prevailed 4-3 over Vanquishers to annex the title to their name.
Earlier in semi-finals, SHRS defeated LPSS by 1-0 score while Vanquishers defeated Digicon by the score of 2-0.
