PFF announces squad for Asian Football Confederation U-19 Championship 2020 qualifiers

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced a 23-member squad that will compete at Asian Football Confederation Under-19 Championship 2020 qualifiers which are to kick off from 22nd November in Oman.

The information provided by an official of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) stated that Pakistan's Under-19 Football Team will try their luck at the qualifiers of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-19 Championship 2020.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be played in Karbala from 2nd November but due the law and order situation of Iraq, it has now been rescheduled and relocated to new dates and the venue. 

The 23 member Pakistani U-19 Football Team is namely stated below:

Goal Keepers:  Salman Ul Haq, Mohammad Ibrar and Huzaifa Sikandar.

Defenders: Mamoon Musa Khan, Ali Imran, Saeed Khan, Asad Ullah, Mohammad Sohail and Mohammad Shiraz Ayub.

Mid Fielders: Alamgir Ali Khan Ghazi, Shayak Dost, Mohammad Bilal, Asad Ali, Tauqir Ul Hassan, Mohammad Saleh, Zaid Omar and Jawad Akbar.

Forwards: Aqib Ali, Muhammad Waheed, Farhan Khan, Mohammad Abdullah, Mazhar Ghaffar and Mohammad Zubair Aslam.

Kahuta Research Laboratories's (KRL) Zaid Omer has been named Captain of the team and he will be assited by Mamoon Musa Khan of Islamabad as the Deputy. 

Pakistan's team Head Coach, Nasir Ismail is hopeful that Pakistani footballers will achieve a better result in the tournament and said, 
“We have picked the best possible squad and the players underwent a month-long training session so they are gelled well. I am hoping for a better result.”

The 2020 AFC U-19 Championship qualification is an international Men's Under-19 Football competition which will decide the participating teams of the 2020 AFC U-19 Championship in which a total of 16 teams will play in the final tournament, including Uzbekistan who qualified automatically as hosts.
