Naya Nazimabad Sports Gala Season 1: Credo College wins Football title
Credo College edged the Lyceum School 3-2 in the final match to take home the title victory of Naya Nazimabad Sports Gala Season 1 Inter School-College floodlight Football Tournament at Naya Nazimanad football ground in Karachi.
A wonderful hat-trick by Rehan Ul Haque guided Credo College to win in the final of Inter School-College floodlight Football Tournament of Naya Nazimabad Sports Gala Season 1. The Lyceum School lost the game after a spirited effort by the difference of just one goal as the final scoreline read 3-2.
Rehan had been the star for his team scoring ten goals in the entire tournament and proved his worth even in the final netting a hat-trick with his goals coming at 42nd, 44th and 49th minute mark. The opposing team managed to claw back in the game through Danyal who scored at the 45th minute and Talal who scored in the 55th minute but ultimately their best efforts proved futile.
In boys Basketball final, Alpha College convincingly earned the title win by thrashing the City School PAF Chapter with the final score line of 30-20. The Girls' Basketball title went to Beaconhouse School as they also collected their win quiet easily, crushing Highbrow College 15-10.
The occasion was graced by presence of former Captain of Pakistan's cricket team, Sarfraz Ahmed, Quetta Gladiators Owner, Nadeem Omer, Chairman, Arif Habib, CEO Naya Nazimabad, Sama A Habib, Manager, Syed Muhammad Talah and International footballer, Muhammad Saleem Patni, who all together distributed prizes and medals among the high achievers of the event.
Chairman Arif Habib appreciated the successful organization of the event and insured that Naya Nazimabad will organize more such events. He thanked his team of officials for working day and night to make the event a success.
Sarfraz Ahmed also congratulated and appreciated excellent facilities provided by Naya Nazimabad and lauded the efforts of the management Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana for organizing such a wonderful sports gala on school and college level.
Mr Nadeem Omer congratulated the team and the officials saying,
“We will try our best to play a practice match of the coming PSL in Naya Naziabad Ground.”
