Rising Stars Club secures top spot of Punjab Inter-Club Girls Netball Championship 2019
Rising Stars Netball Club clinched the title of Punjab Inter-Club Girls Netball Championship 2019 which successfully concluded at Govt. Degree College for Women, People’s Colony in Gujranwala.
The Punjab Inter-Club Girls Netball Championship 2019 wrapped up successfully after the triumph of Rising Stars Netball Club, who had to struggle hard to take home the title as their opponents: Angeles Netball Club fell short only by the difference of one goal with the final scoreline of 11-10 in the final game played at Govt. Degree College for Women, People’s Colony, Gujranwala.
Aqeedat Zulifqar, Afifa and Rubab were the notable contributors in this hard fought win. The runner up spot was claimed by Angeles Netball Club while Bluebells Netball Club settled for third position.
Punjab Netball Association (PNA) in joint efforts with Gujranwala Netball Association organized the 2019 Punjab Inter-Club Girls Netball Championship where as many as six teams competed with all their skills to take home the title of this mega event.
Akif Naeem Butt, Punjab Netball Association Chairman alongside Gujranwala Netball Association President, Chaudhary Umair, were the honorable chief guests at the closing ceremony who witnessed the games and later distributed several prizes, trophies and certificates among the high achievers of the championship.
PNA Secretary, Chaudry Rizwan said that this event was conducted with a great spirit and in a very colorful atmosphere.
“The event will definitely help in dissolving netball player’s frustration due to non-participation in the National Games.”
